Disciples of Metal is primarily a studio-focused band based in the USA. The band was founded by Nick Pell (guitar/vocals) and Graham Ferguson (guitar/vocals/producer) who serve as the minds behind the music. The origins of the band stem back to 1995. The two wrote original music and played 80s Hard Rock & Metal cover songs together in a band called Mindtrip. The band broke up in 1998 and they parted ways.
Fast forward to 2020, as the world stood still, Nick and Graham made light of the opportunity to begin writing new music together again. The project took the name Disciples of Metal and the majority of the music that appears on the self-titled debut album was written between 2020 and 2021. The recording wrapped up in April of 2022. While Graham handled the production, and the mixing, the two were able to have one of their major influences, Roland Grapow (Masterplan & Helloween) master the album at Grapow Studios in July 2022.
The self-titled debut album was released in August of 2022 and features 11 tracks ranging from traditional Heavy Metal to Hard Rock. The opening track; The Oath is an instrumental that sets the tone for the opening riff of the the title track. Songs like Disciples of Metal, Caught In The Crossfire, and Rise To The Top follow a more traditional Heavy Metal approach while tracks like Duel To The Death, The Devil Won't Show and The Absolute End of The World have an even heavier, darker sound. The band also takes a more Hard Rock approach with songs like Rain On Me, Our Masterpiece, and This Is Your Anthem. The album also features a cover of the Diamond Head classic; It's Electric.
The band's second and latest album; Those Who Guard Eternity was released on October 10, 2025. Most of the writing took place between 2022 and 2024 while the recording began in 2023 and wrapped up in the Spring of 2025. The tracks featured on Those Who Guard Eternity are heavier and darker than the debut album. However, the album also features some fist-pumping Hard Rock anthems such as; I Am Who I Am and It's Up To Us.
Disciples of Metal hit a milestone when the album's second track; A New Poison was featured on the February edition of Metalized magazine's Metal CD Sampler! Metalized is Scandinavia's oldest and longest running Metal magazine!
